Cartofi gratinaţi
 Cartofii gratinaţi reprezintă o garnitură cu smântână dulce, rar întrebuinţată, dar foarte uşor de preparat şi deosebit de gustoasă. Avantajul constă în faptul că se pot pregăti înainte cu o zi de servire, iar în ziua în care gătim, pur şi simplu le scoatem din frigider.

Timp de preparare: 20 minute de pregătire + 120 minute de fierbere + 1 zi pentru răcire
Pentru câte persoane?:
Ingrediente (pentru 6 porţii)
1 kg cartofi curăţaţi
500 ml smântână dulce
500 ml lapte
aprox. 3 buc. de foi de dafin
sare după gust
piper alb măcinat după gust
Mod de preparare
1. Curăţăm cartofii şi le tăiem în felii de aprox. 0,5 cm, feliile le spălăm bine şi le aşezăm într-un vas.
2. Introducem laptele, smântâna într-o oală, adăugăm sarea, piperul măcinat şi foile de dafin.
3. Introducem în oală şi cartofii, apoi punem oala pe foc minim. Fierbem fără capac aproximativ 2 ore, până când cartofii se înmoaie complet, iar marea parte a apei se evaporă. Să amestecăm cu grijă din când în când.
4. Dacă majoritatea apei s-a evaporat, scoatem cartofii împreună cu „sosul” dens într-o tavă de 15x25 cm şi îi aranjăm.
5. După aceea, lăsăm la răcit şi băgăm tava în frigider pentru o zi.
6. După o zi de răcire, preparatul îl „tăiem” sub formă de pogăcele, dar cu ajutorul unui cuţit, putem tăia şi pătrăţele.
7. În final, presărăm caşcaval răzuit pe pogăcelele de cartofi şi le prăjim la grătar.
